A project manager/digital producer with over six years experience managing websites for major clients including BT, Arriva, Samsonite, Rio Tinto and Cancer Research UK.
That’s great – but what does that actually mean? It means that I have experience not just of project process and change control, but also throughout the life cycle of a website – from consulting on site architecture to ensuring that a project is delivered on time.

Bostock and Pollitt
Moving back into agency life – I’m now working within an award-winning integrated agency to help manage and create inspiring digital solutions which meet our clients strategic and branding needs.
The mix of branding, print, reporting and digital work helps me to build on my strong digital and online reporting experience, with an understanding of branding and print projects – creating integrated timelines and co-managing large scale projects that cover all four aspects.
Cancer Research UK
Working for the largest cancer charity in the UK, I helped the fundraising team improve user journeys through the site and improve conversion rates. Within the Internet and New Media team I also provided best practice advice on web usability, technical implementations, website trends was a member of their Social Networking Steering Group.
My main focus was proposing and managing usability improvements to the Support us site – a key hub for supporter activity and donations for the charity, as well as local volunteering and retail locations.
Investis
I managed some challenging projects while I was there, often at the same time! I’ve included a selection of the notable ones in my projects section.
Basic Skills Agency
My job was managing the Agency’s websites which included two main websites (including a bilingual English-Welsh one), and a host of smaller sites. Keeping these up to date and relevant whilst making them accessible and engaging was no small feat!
As part of my work there, I built a static minisite for a bilingual campaign as well as work with the RNIB on their See It Right accessibility standards. Unfortunately the Basic Skills Agency is no longer with us, having merged with NIACE in 2007.
Tapestry Holidays
My colleagues soon realised that the internet was a passion of mine and set me to work on running their relatively new website. At the time, holiday websites provided superficial information and poor photos – we changed that by offering the entire brochure content online, as well as providing individual room booking with pictures.
Following on from that we redesigned the website (to reflect the new brochure) and added an online availability system, with custom offer prices. Sadly Tapestry went into administration in 2005, but has now been reborn in a smaller form – just like old days!
Own work
I’ve built websites using content management systems, designed and hard-coded sites and even built e-commerce solutions where appropriate – all whilst providing my opinion and advice on everything web.
